Missing multiple teeth is challenging in many ways. You may find yourself turning off your camera during online meetings or avoiding meeting new people because of the gaps in your smile. You might also have difficulties chewing and eating the foods you used to love and enjoy.

The good news is that whether you're missing a few teeth or looking at the loss of an entire arch, we have solutions for your smile! Here's what you should know about tooth replacement in East Vancouver

What Are Partial Dentures?

A partial denture can be ideal for those patients who are missing multiple teeth but still retain many of their own teeth. The partial is a removable appliance that uses metal or plastic clasps to anchor to healthy teeth. The appliance has prosthetic teeth strategically placed to fill the gaps in your smile and restore chewing function. You can remove the partial at night while you sleep, and for cleaning.

What Are Complete Dentures in East Vancouver?

A full or complete denture replaces an entire arch of upper or lower teeth. The appliance is made of acrylic and thoughtfully designed to complement your skin tone and rebuild your facial features. Traditional dentures are removable; however, we can also use dental implants to support a denture, holding it securely in place so it's not removable.

Dental implants provide the additional benefit of protecting your jawbone from deterioration, which provides better longevity for your denture.

Which Type of Denture Is Right for Me?

Our dentists can help determine the right type of denture for your smile, lifestyle, and budget. Much of their diagnosis will depend on how many healthy teeth you have remaining.

If you have an entire arch of compromised teeth, our dentists will help you determine if traditional or implant-supported dentures are your best option. Contact Alta Dental Studio at (604) 876-5032 for more information.
