Dr. Jason Liu is a general dentist at Alta Dental Studio in East Vancouver, BC, whose practice primarily focuses on IV moderate sedation, oral surgery, and dental implants. He is a registered and certified moderate sedation provider who places patient comfort, clear communication, and thoughtful treatment planning at the centre of his care.

Dr. Liu earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of British Columbia, where he also completed a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree. Committed to lifelong learning, he dedicates hundreds of hours each year to continuing dental education to further develop his clinical knowledge and skills.

Dr. Liu believes that a positive dental experience begins with listening. He takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain treatment options, and help patients make informed decisions about their oral health. Whether discussing sedation, oral surgery, or replacing missing teeth with dental implants, his approach emphasizes compassion, transparency, and respect for individual needs.

Dr. Liu is fluent in Mandarin and welcomes the opportunity to communicate with Mandarin-speaking patients in their preferred language. Outside dentistry, he enjoys travelling, photography, and spending time with his family.
