Do I need to renew my Canadian Dental Care Plan coverage?

Yes! You will need to renew your Canadian Dental Care Plan coverage each year to maintain eligibility. The deadline for renewing your CDCP benefits is June 1st.

If you didn't renew and your coverage stopped after June 30th, you can submit a new application, but you will not have coverage until it is reinstated. If you have dental treatments during the coverage gap period, they will not be reimbursed retroactively. You should note that your co-payment level may change after your plan renewal.

Before you complete dental services or procedures, it is a good idea to confirm that your coverage is active. Some procedures may also require preauthorization with the CDCP. Our team is here to help you maximize and navigate your CDCP benefits.
