Teeth Whitening

A bright white smile helps make positive first impressions and also helps you feel confident because you know your smile looks its best. But the brightness of your teeth will start to fade over time regardless of how well you brush and floss your teeth.

Professional teeth whitening is the solution you need if you want to restore the youthful sparkle your smile once had. At Alta Dental Studio, we offer treatment options that can dramatically brighten your smile.

What Causes Discoloured Teeth?

You may think of teeth as being white, but there are actually many different degrees of brightness, and everyone starts in a different place. Here are a few factors that determine the brightness of your smile:

  • Age
  • Genetics
  • Illness
  • Dental trauma
  • Tobacco use
  • Medications such as certain antibiotics
  • Consuming stain-producing foods and drinks

Why Choose Professional Teeth Whitening?

There are so many options available for whitening teeth that it can be overwhelming to try and determine which is right for you. The best advice is to skip over-the-counter whiteners and opt for a professional whitening treatment at Alta Dental Studio.

Trusting a professional to whiten your teeth is a good idea because you have peace of mind knowing that there is someone you can turn to if there’s a problem or you have questions. Dentists can also use a significantly stronger concentration of whiteners than contained in over-the-counter products, resulting in the brightest possible smile.

We Offer Convenient Options to Fit Your Needs

At Alta Dental, we want you to have options so you can choose the solutions that work best for you. We use Pola whitening products because we have found them to produce the brightest, most consistent results.

  • Pola in-office teeth whitening contains a high level of hydrogen peroxide to produces the most dramatic results in the shortest time possible.
  • Our customized Pola take-home whitening kits contain a high level of carbamide peroxide, so you only need to whiten for about 15 minutes a day to see a brighter smile.

We recommend a dental cleaning with our hygienist before you whiten your teeth because we can help you achieve the brightest, most consistent results when your teeth are free of plaque and tartar. Every patient will see different results, but either approach can brighten your smile by as much as six shades.

The only limitation is that you must have a healthy smile before we whiten your teeth. If we find that you have issues to address, we will work with you to resolve those and plan to whiten your teeth when we know they’re healthy.
