Alta Dental

When do I need a root canal?

You may need root canal when the nerve or pulp of the tooth becomes infected and inflamed due to dental decay, a cracked or broken tooth, or an injury to the tooth. The most common symptoms are mild to severe toothache, with teeth sensitivity to pressure, hot or cold foods or drinks. The purpose of the treatment is to completely remove the infected nerve and pulp and, seal up the tooth, and restore it to natural function.

Call our Alta Dental team to schedule your appointment, and make a note of which tooth is hurting, how long it’s been hurting, and how the tooth reacts to cold or hot foods or drinks or to pressures. After a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth, our dentists will provide treatment options best suit your needs
